Bolner’s Fiesta Products

T.W. Hicks, Inc. was hired to complete floor joint repairs at Bolner’s Fiesta Products. Bolner’s Fiesta Products is a family owned and operated company with headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. They pride themselves on providing the most excellent spices and customer service in the food industry. Our team brought  the same level of excellence into the joint repair process. The project consisted of 48 linear feet of FloorJoint S Panels and was completed over the course of 10 days. 

The project was heavily focussed on functionality compared to aesthetic design, but because of the craftsmanship of our installers the final product did provide an overall update to the design of the floor. Bolner’s Fiesta Products requested that the floor joint repair provide resistance to heavy foot traffic, harsh chemicals, and meet the strict FDA food codes. 

Food plants must meet the FDA Food Code 2009 specifying food establishments must have floors that are “smooth, durable, and easily cleanable,” providing compliance with new FSMA rules. That is why our team installed FloorJoint S Panels across the entire facility for the floor joint repair. Before we completed the joint repairs, it was unsafe for employees to tend to their usual roles in the facility. Employees are expected to move quickly and if the floor joint is failing, it is a major cause of slip and fall concerns. 

Our team removed the existing substrate using typical sawcut and chip techniques. Then, installed the FloorJoint S Panels.  Once completed, our installers ensured the quality was at the same level of excellence Bolner’s Fiesta Products requires. The final product was functional and beautiful. Not only was the building owner happy with the results, but the employees were happy too.
