A Look into the Alamodome and Decorative Flooring

Decorative Flooring

If you are looking for decorative flooring experts, look no further than T.W. Hicks, Inc.! Decorative flooring is a great option for many, especially for those that are looking for something a little more fun or aesthetically pleasing. Usually when products are better looking, it means you have to give something up in return—but not with this! Decorative flooring not only looks great, but it is also super durable.

Along with being durable, this type of flooring is usually pretty low maintenance, does well with wear and tear, and can resist chemicals—all while looking aesthetically pleasing! There are many different types of systems for decorative flooring—so make sure to contact T.W. Hicks, Inc. on any questions you might have! An industrial decorative flooring system might just be the perfect fit for you… like how it was with one of our clients at the Alamodome!

A Look into T.W. Hicks, Inc.’s Work at the Alamodome

With seating for over 64,000 guests, this facility has a ton of traffic that comes in and out frequently. Sporting events such as football, basketball, soccer, and baseball are held here, while the Alamodome is also used as a convention center. This place sees a lot of wear and tear when it comes to people coming and going for different events and conventions.

With all of this information in mind, we here at T.W. Hicks, Inc. knew that we had to not only find the right flooring, but it has to be the perfect flooring! We went in to better understand the project prior to diving into the work—we were going to be applying a brand new decorative flooring system to roughly 200,000 square feet! And of course, we were up to the task!

After understanding our project, we went in and shot blasted and installed a Sikafloor 24NA decorative flake floor system. This system is state of the art, and we used this flooring because it was easy to clean, smooth, and includes a medium slip resistance. It was perfect for the job at the Alamodome! Since this flooring system is polyurethane cement, it easily went on the existing stained concrete. This flooring system gave the Alamodome a new life by adding some lighter colors to it—prior to this project, the Alamodome seemed a little outdated and super dark. T.W. Hicks, Inc. used this Sikafloor system to pump some new life into this building!

A new flooring system can make all the difference in an older building—especially when there is a lot of foot traffic! We were absolutely floored (ha, get it!?) with these results—and you can see that our hard work really paid off with the pictures provided!
